Karl Rudolf Dienes founded "his" company in Remscheid, Germany in 1913. Today, the company 'Karl Rudolf Dienes' is an internationally oriented medium-sized group of companies with more than 500 employees.
Dienes Group; family managed in the third generation, has its headquarters in Overath, Germany, near Cologne. In its 25,000 square meter facility, it produces industrial knives and slitting systems for various applications under the trademarks "Dienes", "Neuenkamp" and "Johann Krumm". Dienes is one of the leading suppliers of precision slitting systems.
The Dienes slitting tools are applied among others in slitters and winders, corrugated board and cardboard box making machines, packaging and printing machines. They are used to produce and convert a vast array of materials:
Paper, label, adhesive tape, plastic, foil, metal, aluminum, non-woven etc.
More than 85,000 knives and several hundred knife holders are available from stock, allowing us to supply our customers immediately, in urgent situations. A further staple of the Dienes Group is the production of compressor components.
Dienes puts a strong emphasis on customer service: We offer a professional 1 week regrinding service, a slitting laboratory, trouble shooting, Kaizen slitting analyses and seminars, just to mention a few services.
The fact that Dienes holds numerous patents and operates worldwide is not only based on the mere ambition to manufacture high quality slitting systems, but also the result of numerous discussions with customers and the joint search for solutions.
With the experience of precision manufacturing of 10 million knife blades, it was only a matter of time until the introduction of the "Golden Slit" blade:
